From my previous blogs, you all know how crazy and passionate I am towards music because of its soothing and refreshing nature. Music has been an integral part of our household as we always have various genres of music being played at home. My musical voyage started at the tender age of three and people always used to ask my parents how can someone learn music at such a young age. I always have this sense of satisfaction and pride when I am playing my drum kit. Rhythm pulled my attention and I always used to stare at any percussion instrument as I was really curious regarding how they played that instrument and from which country is that instrument from. I always considered music as my best friend, companion, mentor, and a lot more because it gave that vision and power to do wonders in my life. I always say that music is meditative and as a musician, I became a disciple for the meditative aura created by music.

Me during my performance

I have a connection with the rhythm and it helps me balance my life in a very simple and energetic way. Happiness is what one gets from listening and performing music as it’s a stress buster. I began my formal training and later completed all eight grades from the prestigious Trinity College Of Music London. Over the years thanks to the internet and my mentors because these two became a powerful tool for me to explore various genres of music which I spoke about in my previous blog as the “Uniqueness Of Music.” My Indian genes helped me get a good sense of rhythm and its calculation so that I could develop my skills in all percussion instruments. As time flew I was a professional musician with a good rock-solid foundation about the fundamentals of percussion instruments. I was amazed by the fact that the rhythm section plays an important role in a musical ensemble.

In the past few years, I have got some amazing opportunities to share the stage with some renowned and professional musicians which helped me to polish my skill set. My parents never dreamt that I will pursue a strong passion for music and make a name for myself. I always highlight the support from my parents and how they encouraged me whenever I was invited for performance as they used to tell me how opportunities can shape someone’s career. Throughout my musical journey, I have believed in one thing which is my mantra and it is “Love the music you play and rejoice your mind in it” and this helps me to get into another world where I am musically inclined and away from all the stress. I am happy that I was able to experience some of the best moments in my life through music and it’s been a great journey so far as I got a taste of different cultures, traditions, and most importantly the music which unites us all.

I am grateful that I could become a musician and contribute to my piece of art in society by making some music so I can heal and relax people’s minds. There is no way we can explain in a short form because of the vastness in the subject. Overall I wish and encourage everyone to love music and perform music as it is the best medicine for happiness in our lives.
